« on: Wednesday 15 March 23 09:26 GMT (UK) »
I have found an entry on MyHeritage of the death of my ancestor Jean Felix Benoit Joli.
The details are as follows:

Date of death Apr 29 1873
 Montreuil, Seine_Saint-Denis, Île-de-France
Source: Archives de Seine-Saint-Denis
Page 11 of 21, entry 119

Please could I have a transcription and translation of the entry.

I have attached a photo of the entry but not sure of the quality.

Thank you, Apaulin

Haven't got much time just now, but will get around to look at the translations you've requested, once I get a chance.

The commune is Montreuil-sous-Bois.

This writing is very clear and easy to read.

It would be a help for OP to write down exactly what they see as their transcription and then for  others to correct the transcription and provide the translation?

It is just without this one never learns and is always reliant on others for the writing /transcriptions of the simplest and clearest writing.  Most of these entries in all registers follow a pattern.

In Irish records, for instance, many of the records are in Church Latin and it is useful to have a bit of knowledge as to the Latin words and phrases that are used or the French phrases in these cases.

His real name was Benoît - Joli, forenames Jean Félix, born in Saint-Laurent-en- Grandvaux, Jura , 7 Germinal an Onze ( 28 march 1803), son of Guillaume BENOIT JOLI customs officer in Saint Laurent and Marie Devaux
There were many double names in the Grandvaux area, I have some ancestors from there.

Thanks to all for your work and comments on this record.

It has revealed another son I was not aware of, Hippolyte Julien Joli born about 1852.

Now I need to find his birth record, etc.

Hippolyte's birth certificate was destroyed in a fire. Here are the reconstituted documents:
