Help finding a burial record
« on: Saturday 25 March 23 15:13 GMT (UK) »
I need some help please finding a burial record for Samuel Thomas born 1877/1878. He died in December 1904 and his death is registered to his address at the time - Hall Street, Penycae. I have searched on and off for the last 2 years and so far I have not found a single record for his burial. He was a miner, he also got married in 1903 to Mary Simons. His father was called John and his mother was Elizabeth if I remember rightly. Any help at all with this would be greatly appreciated! 👍

Is it possible that the registers for Penycae parish have not yet been made available online? This is what FamilySearch says:

The following Penycae Parish Registers have been deposited at the Denbighshire Records Office in Ruthin:
Baptisms   1880 - 1919
Marriages:   1880 - 1971
Burials   1881 - 1952
The Clwyd Family History Society have published one volume of the Penycae parish registers.
There are no official records available on the IGI for Penycae parish.

Perhaps worth contacting the Records Office? See what other responses you get, as I have no experience researching in Wales, but it may be the best option.

Queenie  :)

EDIT: I see your other thread has identified the cemetery.

As JenB says, I've found a report and translated from the Welsh on the other thread.
