There are a few baptisms at St. James Clerkenwell to John and Sarah Kerby
5 Dec 1811, Eliza Sarah
9 January 1815, Edward. Abode Berkley Court. Father a Watch Gilder.
25 Dec 1819, Ellen. Abode Berkley Court. Father a Watch Maker.

Is this the same John?
Possible marriage in London, 25 Aug 1808, Christ Church, John Kerby + Sarah Bond :-\

Edward Kerby, Infant, buried 15 May 1815 at St James Clerkenwell. Abode Berkley Court.

Eliza Sarah may have married in Marylebone in 1842, but it's not online.
March 1842 Marylebone 1 207
Jennings, James
Kirby, Eliza Sarah
+ 6 other names

They may be in Brighton in 1851 and 1861. Winding up later in Clapham. James had been a draper/milliner.
Eliza born about 1811/1812, couple of census say in Clerkenwell.

Is it possible that the John and Sarah Kerby of Berkeley Court had split up? :-\
So far not finding a death/burial for Sarah in the Clerkenwell area.

1841, Upper Seymour Street, Pancras
Sarah Kirby 65 Ind, No, not born county
Eliza Kirby 30 Milliner, Yes

Burial, 7 Dec 1834, St. Pancras
Ellen Kerby
Abode Upper Seymour Street
Age 15 yrs

Maybe? Burial at St Pancras, 14 Dec 1845
Sarah Kerby
Middlesex St.
Age 71

Thanks again - our family connection is actually through one of John`s brothers (Benjamin)  but there seem to be a lot of links to Barclay Court so I`m just trying to work out which family member was doing what there!
Their father Isaac worked as a watchmaker there and one of his brother`s (another Isaac) had lived and  worked in Gloucestershire as a watchmaker but returned to Barclay Court in old age

Is there another John in the family who could have been in Berkeley Court? Otherwise the John in question may have been married. But without his wife and daughter in 1841!

I`m not aware of another John there at the right time - I`ll follow your lead.  Thankyou

Hi
Witnesses at that 1808 marriage were Isaac Rolfe, Martha Kerby.

John had a sister Martha who would have been about 16 in 1808 - would that have been old enough to be a witness?

Yes, I think so.
She signed her name.
I can't be certain it's the right marriage for the John and Sarah in Berkeley Court, probably it is the most likely. It was at Christ Church Newgate Street.
Not really many alternatives, maybe John Kirby + Sarah Fryer, 12 Nov 1811, St. Anne Soho
