Hello everyone,
This is a followup on a previous inquiry:
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=867578.0To provide you with updated research, the Christchurch Library or any online databases do not list Mrs Williams as a burial in Lyttelton or Christchurch. So that means she was either buried at sea or at Camp Bay Quarantine Cemetery in Lyttelton Harbour. I have checked the deaths at sea record and Mrs. Williams is not mentioned amongst the other passengers who died at sea on the Ivanhoe. And in the newspaper she is the passenger given a date of death.
This is a paperspast article

More details:
The family were
husband - Charles Williams (b. 1825 d. 1881)
Mrs. Willlams - Isabella Ann Downes (b. 1832)
Children:
Katherine Williams (b. 1859)
Arthur Edward Williams (b. 1860)
Florence Rose Williams (b. 1861)
Constance Isabella William (b. 1863)
From my research I figured Isabella died June 13, 1864. The problem I am grappling with is they were quite well off financially - it is highly unusual for a cabin passenger to be buried at Camp Bay Cemetery. But the Ivanhoe was placed into quarantine.
Your opinions and thoughts are very welcome.
