Census occupation - brick manufacturer ... 57 boys?

Hi,

The attached is an 1871 census occupation entry.

I believe it reads "Auctioneer + Brick manufacturer, supervising 6 men + 57 boys"

The word "supervising" is confusing me because it looks a lot like "superying", and I'm very unsure about the word "men".
