Looking for any information on ..
Patrick Gannon .. born about 1812 .. County Leitrim, Ireland was mentioned in my search.
transported to Australia in 1835 on the ship “ Blackwell”
I have some information on him & his criminal record in Australia but nothing much from Ireland

Also a Jane Tate born about 1813 .. County Longford, Ireland was mentioned in my search.
transported to Australia in 1832 on the ship “Southwell” for stealing a coat & a hat from her employer.

They formed some sort of relationship in Sydney, Australia & they had 4 children together .. those children went by the surname of Gannon-Murphy (don’t know where the Murphy came from) but one of those children is my great, great, great grandfather .. but he also had a wife & children in another part of the state.

And many people researched for you and added to the thread, but you have not yet acknowledged their help or thanked them for their replies.

This is exactly why I just wanted to inform you, as I know what it is like to be a newbie and unaware of a website's 'etiquette.' I'm glad that you received a good response on your first post.

Welcome to the RootsChat community!  ;D
