Apologies for the poor quality of the attachment which is a clip from the death register of Margaret Law who died in 1920.
I can make out that she died in the Forth & Clyde Canal at what may be Rainbow Forrest?, Old Kilpatrick.
I then see her usual residence as being possibly 18 ? Place, Bowling in West Dunbartonshire.
I've searched for both but came up blank so any suggestions gratefully received.

Could it be Gavinburn Terrace? There is a Moses Barlas listed as the proprietor of shops and houses from numbers 7 to 11 at Gavinburn Terrace in the 1920 valuation rolls on Scotland's people, and it seems to have been part of Dumbarton Road.  It may have been the stretch of Dumbarton Road between the present day Gavinburn Place and Gavinburn Street, the ends of which are only yards from the canal.

I agree with jcmac that the second address is 12 Woodside Place, Bowling.

The address you are looking for is Gavinburn Terrace which does exist, although its not nearly as colourful or exotic as your interpretation.
The "8 Woodford's Place?" address in Bowling is most likely to be the name of a tenement or terraced property located at the position of No8 on a particular road.
Bowling is not a large village, and largely strung out along the A814, Dumbarton to Old Kilpatrick road.  Very few tenement buildings dating from the 1920's remain standing and those that do are adjacent to the above road.
Streetview may be of assistance if there is a name somewhere on the face of the building, assuming the property hasn't been demolished.

There’s a Well that’s thought to be St Patrick’s Well at the junction.

The Forth and Clyde Canal is at the end of Gavinburn Terrace! That would be quite a busy canal then… it’s not too far from Bowling harbour where goods would be unloaded for distribution along the canal.
