Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the 'IRI' supposed to be the usable parts of the old IGI with the junk (mostly) pruned out? It is a very annoying database because you might find the original images on the familysearch site, but more often in my experience you will not. However it contains plenty of 'helpful hints'. I have also found some of the places to be inaccurate, but in roughly the same area.

I had checked the "1538-1975" collection on Familysearch to ensure it didn't include/cover so called "contributed" records which, I think, is your so called "junk". Oh for the old days when searching Familysearch showed all results but easy to distinguish between those extracted from original records and those contributed.
 
FindMyPast has 3 records for John Woodin - 2 under "Kent Baptisms", one of which shows the original image, the other a transcript only. The 3rd record, transcript only, is the "1538-1975" IGI index.
