Wanting to know fathers occupation where question mark is.  Is it leather??

Looks like Settler to me.  Some citizens brought to Aus/NZ under Govt assisted schemes were known as settlers or even a new owner of land

Whilst it could be fettler, and I agree it would seem a better fit for a profession, the first letter does not look other "F"s on the page (all the other occupations begin with a capital letter), and much more like the "S" on "Stephen", or even the "L" on "Liverpool".

This is likely the same family. Might give a clue to their location, occupation etc.

His occupations varied over 15y period from sawyer, labourer, farmer then back to sawyer as did place where living. With the 'settler' in between.  As mention the other 'F's are different.  I'll go with settler as looking at other baptisms in same period it is a very common word now I know what it is.
