Ok I found a marriage certificate for James and Eliza Jane married June 1851 died 1855 makes her in her 80's.

there are 23 trees on Ancestry saying Eliza Jane is a McKinlay....how come the copy of the original marriage cert says

Eliza Jane McClelland married James McClelland June 1851 a spinster and her father Abraham McClelland a farmer and James dad Andrew McClelland.

Struggling to believe Eliza Jane was a spinster till abt 79 years marries and died abt 4 years later.

Thankyou..Winter here in Tasmania, a good day to be doing Genealogy

Stop looking at Ancestry trees.

Who is the most recent person in your family for whom you have documented information, and what are you looking for?

Marriage James McClelland and Eliza McClelland, 1851. I can’t read the parish of residence. It may say Ballygorian for James which would fit with the death.

Probate index 1855
Abraham Mc Clelland, Menteith Cottage Tullentowalley County Down

No further information.

The marriage residence for Eliza resembles ‘Tullentowalley’ so that links Eliza to Abraham.

Tullentowalley - Tullintanvally?

Belfast Newsletter, Aug 1 1855

Deaths

July 20, Eliza Jane, relict of the late James McClelland, Ballygowan House, County Down.

Unfortunately there is no age given, she may be the same Eliza from the 1851 marriage, dying soon after her husband.
