Are you referring to 2 ladies called Pat & Catherine or to a married couple called Patrick & Catherine?

Hi there i am referring to a married couple Pat and Catherine Conroy who lived in South Shore, Rosmuc where Pat was a farmer. They had 9 children and would have been living there in the 1950's but not sure for how much longer.

Have you any children’s names and years of birth?

In your first post, you have a timespan of 1930s-2000s which us a long time.
However, you now say 1950s.

Did the couple die there?

The difficulty may also be that often the residence is just Rosmuc.

1911 census of Rosmuck has a population of 212. 39 households in the townland of which 12 were Conroys. 59 Conroys in all. Anything you can do to narrow the search would be helpful.

This site has births (to about 1921), marriages and deaths for later years

I can see a couple of marriages in Oughterard district:
Patrick Conroy and Cait O’Malley - 1937
Patrick Conroy and Catherine Grealush - 1946

I can’t see any other Pat/Catherine combinations

Thanks for the response, would couples back then get married in the area where the bride was from maybe that would explain the lack of Pat & Catherines in Oughterard?
