My great grandfather appears on the 1911 census as an inmate at Islington Guardian's Schools, Andover Row, Hornsey Road, Tollington Park, London .Is there any way I can check the records to find out about his time at this school

Andover Home admission and discharge records start on page 3 of the list, but he may also be found in the workhouse records - children often went through the workhouse first before being assigned to a children's home.
You will need a (free) account to access the images.
