Dorothy Cork
« on: Monday 12 June 23 11:13 BST (UK) »
A lady of this name, from Stanmore, Sydney died 4/5/2015 according to Ryerson and the NSW Probate Index - but no indication of age or birth date.
A possible husband, Herrick Maurice Cork, possibly died 2003 in Sydney according to Ancestry trees but no source given.
Can anyone find evidence, like death notices, to help me determine if I am looking for the right people?

Thanks

According to the Powerhouse Museum, Herrick Maurice CORK died in 2003.
https://collection.maas.museum/object/422095

According to the above biography, his wife Dorothy (nee BUTLER) was born 9 March 1918 at Bombala, NSW if that helps you? Numerous mentions of her as an author in newspapers and on various websites.

I can't see the probate notice for Dorothy CORK in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The obituary refers to ‘pulp fiction’ in connection with Dorothy Cork. There are a number of Dorothy Cork romances at archive.org

Sample cover:

Boyd, Dove, Blakey, Burdon

Thanks to Peters post - I found this - of course not all trees are correct - but this goes back to 1755 in Trimmingham ,Norfolk with the male Cork family

But still waiting to find out if this is the Dorothy CORK m23to53 is looking for. There are a few of that name in the same time period.

This may help to triangulate.

There is a death announcement for Joan Elsie BUTLER, sister Dorothy Cork, in The Sydney Morning Herald 9th November 1989.

I'm not posting the full text because of the living persons rule: there are four other names, but nothing to suggest that Joan Elsie Butler was married.
Boyd, Dove, Blakey, Burdon

Though I am not surprised no obituary for a M&B author, I am that is not one for Herrick Cork, a relatively well known artist.
