So presumably you grandmother is still alive?  The couple who adopted her are on the 1939 Register with one blacked out name below which I assume is Agnes' child.

The family in 1939 at Swan Cottages appear to be related to the marriage in 1905:
Henry Stone and Rose (Annie?) nee Maxted
but something seems to have happened to the relationship as in 1921 Rose and some of her kids as listed as Wood with Albert E Wood who she married (bigamously?) in 1917.

In 1921 Henry Stone is indexed as "Shone" with a number of children to "Maud" (in 1939 Alice M - no marriage to be located as far as I can see).
This includes a Florence, 1910, and an Agnes, born 1913, who might be Maud's daughters from a previous relationship, and later children who also are listed with mother's maiden name MAXTED.

Now:
Florence Daisy Rose, born 1910, mother's maiden name MAXTED
Agnes Rose, born 1913, mother's maiden name MAXTED

I cannot find a Rose/Maxted marriage, or a later Rose/Stone marriage, but I can find an Alice Maud Maxted born 1885 Dover.

So, in summary:
Agnes may have been born Agnes Rose to Alice Maud nee Maxted, Henry Stone was either her biological father, or a stepfather, but either way from a young age she likely used the name Stone and indeed may not have known her birthname.

I suggest you look again at the DNA connections to see if you have Maxted or Rose popping up.

:)

Well in that case it's worth having a look at the closer Rose/Maxted connections to see if any might lead you to what happened to Agnes!

I also suggest you get her birth certificate (https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp )
She was registered in December quarter 1913 so registration in October, November or December 1913 and birth up to six weeks earlier.

Not everyone who is redacted and is also under 100 years old is still alive. My late aunt b 1935 and died in 1997 is still redacted. Possibly because she married twice and so not easy to link her birth name with her name at death.
Surname changes through adoption, then a subsequent marriage might be even harder to link up.

There is a boy older than Florence and Agnes registered as STONE with mmn MAXTED. So why register the middle children with surname ROSE?
GRO  also has a Walter Thomas STONE  mmn MAXTED reg Dover 1909

Alice Maud Maxted had a sister Rose Hannah. Could Henry Stone have married the sister, then when they split up, Rose's sister Alice Maud moved in. That could explain why all the children have Maxted as mother's maiden name, some by each sister
