I am trying to find a baptism for her.
She married George Bower 16 Oct 1826 St John the Baptist Wakefield Yorkshire.
The 1841 Census indicates she was in "Shitlington" !!(Sitlington, historically Shitlington?) Wakefield Registration district.
The 1851 Census indicates she was born in Staveley, Yorkshire
The 1861 Census indicates she was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire
She died in about March, (residing in Sandy Lane Shillington Yorkshire)
Buried 3 March 1863 St Michael and All Angels Thornhill Yorkshire
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

4 records on familysearch  state
Amelia Gray born 1807 - died 1863 - so - it looks like she was born 1807 - hope that helps ??

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N2J9-N27

so - I can only find ONE Amelia Gray born 1807 in England
Sussanna Amelia Gray - baptised 13th January 1807 at Shaftsbury ,Dorset
parents
James Gray
Amelia Bennett

I have to say this seems unlikely - but is the only 1807 birth I can find ?????
good luck in your search
I will look for a marriage of Sussanna Amelia Gray -to cancel this Amelia out ?

Not everyone was baptised.

Did she have siblings who were?  If so you could check the same place for her.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

I wonder if this could be her baptism but with the first name incorrect.

29 March 1807 Wakefield Pamela daughter of Mary Gray, base born, dob 15 Jan 1807.

Haven't spotted this Pamela in any later records as yet.

Hi

You have her as being born in Staveley in one of the census. I think that could be a miss transcription and it should be Stanley, this would correspond with Wakefield St. John the Baptist.

Hello J.R.Ellam,(John)
You may well be right about the incorrect transcription.
I have taken Staveley from the 1851 England Census  (HO107/2326/15 p22.)
I will also now look for records in Stanley.
Thank you for the information.
