Help needed with one word in a will please
« on: Monday 03 July 23 08:59 BST (UK) »
Hello,

There is one word in the attached image I cannot decipher. I am also keen to know if it is protecting the financial rights of the woman concerned or subjugating her to any future husband's whims. (She didn't marry and went on to create a good business of her own so hurrah for her).

I am attaching a slab of the page so that the writing style can be seen - so please don't waste your time typing it out :)

I appreciate your thoughts.

Hi,  it's "jus mariti"

The right of a husband; especially the right which a husband acquires to his wife’s movable estate by virtue of the marriage.
