Hi, there was a Felix Quinn baptised on 7 April 1845 in Ballinderry RC parish for parents Felix Quinn and Susan McGillen, the sponsors were John Money and Jane McGillen:

https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632478#page/70/mode/1up (right page, 7th entry up from bottom)

But a couple of questions... Is 1845 not quite early for it to be just your grandfather and how do know that's him, as in, how did you arrive at that conclusion?

Yes I thought the same.  1845 is a very long time ago.

When were his children born, specifically the link to yourself?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

He was born in either 1845 or 1850. I got information from his children that said both. But both said April 7th.

He died in America and is buried in Queens, New York at Holy Cross Cemetery.

He had children in Ireland and America.

Anna Quinn in Ireland in 1880
Joseph in Ireland in 1881
Matthew
John was born and died in 1882
Then Maria was born in New York in 1883
Felix in New York in 1886
My grandmother Catherine Claire Quinn in 1889
Philip in 1890
Hugh in 1892
Andrew in 1894
Then he died in 1896

We know from the 1900 New York census that his wife Elizabeth's maiden name was McDonough (her mother Rebecca McDonough is with her).

There's an 1877 Manhattan marriage record for Felix Quinn and Elizabeth McDonnough and from the transcriptions, he was then 29 (so born circa 1847/8) and his parents were John Quinn and Catherine Lyons or Lyner.

So, he was born in County Tyrone!  ;)
In Ireland, the word "County" always precedes the county name.
