Hi all. I’m new here so hope I’m going about this correctly!  I’m looking for info on my GGF Thomas Alcock born circa 1812.  He was a lace machine maker. I have his children born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Thank you

Hi. Joseph b1837, Harriett b1838, Lucy b1842 and Eliza b1844, all at Mansfield. His wife was Elizabeth - I’m yet to find her maiden name. I don’t know Thomas’ date of death either.  A Thomas Alcock was an inventor of a lace machine and i’d love to know if it was my Thomas.  Thank you

I've found what could be Thomas's baptism:-

Birth year 1812, no baptism date, born Longborough, Gloucestershire, parents Thos. & Catherine Alcock.

I'm half wondering if this is Thomas's marriage to Elizabeth.

Thomas Alcock to Eliza Sutton.

I noticed that on a census record Elizabeth's place of birth is given as St. Mary, Nottingham.

Can't find any birth records for the children with a mmn of Sutton.  May not have had their births registered as it wasn't compulsory at that time.

I did find what appeared to be a bankruptcy notice (newspaper) for 1843 but when I tried to access the details I couldn't find it.
