Goodich, Ross-on-Wye
« on: Wednesday 09 August 23 08:02 BST (UK) »
I can not read this properly, have googled, and also tried asking local genealogist to no avail.

Residence of Groom is [something?] Mill, Goodich and is not the same as the residence of the Bride which is White Mill, Goodich.  They did not appear to live together at the time of marriage.  This is in 1935.

I would be grateful for any help.

PDF of the cert and typed transcript attached.

Hi,

The scan is really difficult to read, but I think I see more letters than Goodich. There is something else in there. Could it be Goodrich?

Edit: There is indeed a Goodrich in Ross-on-Wye! Back to the map... ;D

I am having trouble seeing Mill here. Are you sure about that?

Edit: I've just seen your transcript. It says White Hall there - I think that looks more likely.  :)

Agree with Karen - your scanned image difficult to read. Can you not take a snip of the text with sufficient from the surrounding area for letter comparison?

Thanks for clarifying that for me.  It certainly make a difference when you spell it properly!

Thanks for resolving my query.
