I am struggling with a possible occupation or maybe, unlikely abode, in the following 1641 entry.

Robrt [Robert] Shine Atrunxer bured [buried] May 13 [1641]

The parish register page is missing for this year.

I think it might perhaps be 'a trouper' i.e. a trooper or private soldier.

I agree, I think it looks like "A trouper", guessing it means "trooper".

Hmmm. I'm not sure that there were any full-time professional soldiers in those days. There was certainly no standing army.
