Its something 'Labourer'...just going to squint at it a bit more... ;D

Edited - is that first bit actually something else crossed out?!

Can you provide the census reference please?  Or the census year and place.  I assume that Thomas Flynn is the name that we can see.

No cencus, its a scottish Marraige record from 1873, Scotland People ref: 644 / 2 / 530

That is what it looks like but google returned 0 results for the occupation so I was quite unsure tbh - do you have any more info / have you came across this before?

Thanks a lot to all who commented, I actually found his death certificate which has him as a 'scavanger' google tells me this was another name for a street cleaner, which aligns with the above thread's definition of a statue labourer.
