Scotlandspeople has the marriage of John Wishart and Helen Robertson taking place in Orphir23 November 1773. I doubt that Helen would have been having a child in 1816, 43 years after she got married.

Just found the baptism for Ann Cooper Flett on Scotlandspeople. She was baptised 23 August 1816 in Orphir, parents George Flett and Hannah Laughton as per the post by Garstonite.

Thanks, appreciate your replies.
I was wondering if there's any way of finding a Norwegian link to these Orkney families above : Flett, Laughton, Wishart, Robertson.?

You'd have to go back centuries to find any Norse link - a tough job! Flett is definitely a Norse name, and comes from a Norse forename.
