Does this mean anything to anyone?
« on: Sunday 24 September 23 19:00 BST (UK) »
Evening,
Having just found a Scotlands People marriage record for the daughter of someone I am researching, I am puzzled by what was written under the parents names section. The marriage took place in 1885 and the brides mother Jeanie (who I am researching) was born in about 1832 in Glasgow. I knew there probably wouldn't be a fathers name, but next to Jeanie it has "daughter of a ........" I know what I think it says, but having researched that, I don't think i'm right. ANY IDEAS??

'Dairymaid' for me, before looking at other's answers.
