Help with Occupation & Residence on 1840 Marriage Certificate
« on: Monday 25 September 23 01:49 BST (UK) »
I'm having difficulty deciphering what the residence is on the attached 1840 marriage certificate for George Dixon and Sarah Nichol. They were married in Northumberland. I think it is 'Weldon Bridge' but not sure. Also, I think the occupation for George Dixon and George Nichol is 'Horse Keeper' but again not sure. As for the occupation of Alexander Dixon I can't work that one out at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for your help. I would never have got Ostler. Seems like working with horses was in the family.
