William Lowry & Jane Callan, Drummay
« on: Tuesday 03 October 23 17:09 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I'm looking for any leads on William Lowry (b. 1800) and wife, Jane (Callan), who were located in Drummay, Newton-Cunningham during 1830s-50s. They were Presbyterian.
His parents were Andrew and Margaret Browne.
He had 4 children with Jane:
Susan b. 1830 Married John Craig in Ruskey, 1848.
Margaret (my direct): b. 1832
William: b.1835
James: b. 1837
He remarried in 1838 to Mary Crumlish, of Peter and Polly (Loughrey) and they all immigrated to Massachusetts c. 1851. I'd like to find anything on his parents, as well as anything about Jane Callan. I have the feeling they are connected to a Lowry family in Binion, but I'm not sure.
Thanks very much!

William's daughter, Susan had Londonderry as place of birth entered on her record of death in Ontario. So there could be a Londonderry connection. If there are updated links someone could share that would be great.

Thought I'd bump this with something I found and a question.
Is Drimbarren/Drumbarren anywhere near Drummay? I ask because I found this Tithe Applotment entry from Drimmay, Donegal parish that has Andrew and Wm Lowry.

It's possible they could be my 5th and 4th great-grandfathers respectively.
