Bega family
« on: Thursday 12 October 23 17:45 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to trace a Bega family of Newcastle on Tyne or possibly the Edinburgh area.
I know that David a son was in the Royal Navy at one point.

We need some dates.  Rootschat does not allow us to give details of anyone living, presumably the son you mention is known to be deceased

Not a common surname in either England or Scotland.  No deaths for that name in Newcastle.  As Rosie has said - it's possible you are looking for living people which is not allowed on Rootschat

I echo Carole’s post with regard to living people.
You can search here https://www.freebmd.org.uk/search

There is someone of that name, which you can then follow up if it is the right one.

Accidentally made a new post when I just meant to edit. Oops.

There are also several names that are similar/related...

On the 1851 census for Edinburgh there is a Reyub Baga
