I'm unable to read the injuries listed on the attached extract from a WW1 record. I can make out 'shoulder & neck' but not the rest.
Is someone able to help please?
Thanks
George

I agree "GSWound"
Gun Shot Wound covered both shrapnel and bullets.

What great service, thank you both.
Can you help with the bit between 'shoulder and neck' and the date please?

It looks like "at Hemel" or "to Hemel". But it would be unusual to see a hospital named on that particular service record page.

Could it be 'in/on the field'? Though the first word looks more like 'to' to me, which wouldn't really make sense.

I agree, I see the word 'field' there too.

Looking at again I think you are right, Arthur, it does look like 'in the field' and it seems to make sense.
For interest, the casualty died in April 1920 and is commemorated in a CWG.
Thanks for the help everyone.
