Hi, Hopefully this is the right area to ask a question.  I'm trying to find a mother for Mary Weston 1816 - 1888 Bath, England.  Mary's death certificate states her mother's  surname is GOULDFORD', thanks

Death certificates in England don't give a mother's maiden name so where did she die?

If her mother's maiden name was Gouldford what was her christian name ?

Who did Mary Weston marry and where ?

Weston is a very common name

Looking at family trees on Anc and the date of 1888 you give as Mary's date of death - did Mary marry Charles Miles on 21 Jun 1835 at English Combe, Somerset and emigrate to Austrialia in 1854??

Family trees suggest that Mary was baptised  3 Oct 1816 Wellow, Somerset (to the south of Bath) father William Weston Labourer and mother Mary.  There is a possible marriage for William and Mary on 9 Nov 1807 at Wellow.  The transcription of the surname on FindMyPast is Gofend/Gosend

 Mary WESTON died in Neilborough, Victoria, Australia in 1888.
On her daughters death certificate it states mother as M. N GOULDFORD.
Mary WESTON married Charles MILES in Bath, England on 21/06/1835.
In 1854 they arrived in Australia on the Marshall Bennett from Southampton.

Hi, Marriage date of 1807 would make William being born in 1791 ( if correct) only 16 when he married - possible I guess.

No, my mistake.  On Mary MILES (was WESTON) b 1816, d 1888  death certificate in Australia it states that her mother was M N Gouldford. Hope that clears it up, Val
