Search for family history, from Darwen Lancashire?

Where do I start to search for family history? Grandparents came to Canada from 21 Back Ducksworth Street, Darwen, early 1900's. John Taylor (hardware dealer) and Elizabeth (nee Eccles).
They were married Feb 9, 1892, and came to Canada with 2 sons: John Eccles and Ralph.

You mention their marriage; so do you have their marriage certificate?
That would give their father's name.

John and Elizabeth don't look to have had more (living) children after Ralph. The family in Manitoba in 1926, with links showing on there for other census years www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPRR-LZT5

But you want to go back, not forward!

The 1901 census shows John was 31 & born Darwen.  Elizabeth was 29 also b Darwen

Carole, the family arrived in Canada on 3 May 1902 on the "Tunisian".
