There are some (or all?) of the "war diaries" for the Queen Mary's Army Auxilary Corps here:
https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/browse/r/h/ea10f3431afb4398a7ff592ad1b019fe

It would be a massive amount of reading with absolutely no guarantee of finding your lady, but you may get to learn more what their life was like.
They have divided the files into 8 lots to reduce the download size, but a lot of the dates overlap, so I'm not sure if you can zone in on the most likely file.

Free to download if you register and log in.

A good explanation of the type of award she received (MOBE) here https://livesofthefirstworldwar.iwm.org.uk/community/2956/?page=2

I would imagine that the "feeding of the troops" would have been a pretty important role for her and the team, in a foreign country, in the middle of the war.

CENTRAL CHANCERY OF THE ORDERS
OF KNIGHTHOOD.
St. James's Palace, S.W. 1,
23rd January 1920.
The KING has been graciously pleased to
approve of the award of the Medal of the Most
Excellent Order of the British Empire (Military
Division) to the undermentioned in recognition
of valuable services rendered in connection with
military operations in France and Flanders.
Dated 3rd June 1919 :—

Hi Monica
Thank you for this. Please be assured that I in no way wanted to belittle the the bravery and courage that these women had. I probably imagined that her bravery was more covert!
My wife’s grandfather was awarded the equivalent medal in WE2 and he was a gaffer in Yarrow Shipbuildings and not in the front line.
Thanks again

I didn't for a second think you were, Tam  ;)

Hard job for these women it must have been, don't you think. Good to see their contributions were acknowledged.
