Can you help me make out these words?
« on: Wednesday 29 November 23 09:33 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to make out the two fathers' occupations on this marriage record from Derby in 1857. First one might be "Shoe maker"? The second one I'm not sure but he is listed in a different place as a publican. Perhaps another word for publican?

And another  :)

Hi DD.

I agree with the suggestions about the occupations.

There are amazing people who help on this site. I suggest that if you have a similar query that you post it in the Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition section as you will probably get a faster answer.

Good suggestion for using the other board but it only took 2 minutes to be given the answer on here .   A lot of us look at posts regardless of which board they are on.
