Haven't found anything yet - looks difficult!

Family Registers seem to be one option - but haven't found anything yet.

Would be interesting to learn why he left Bulgaria. Was it due to the rise of Communism? Why is he in the records of International Center on Nazi Persecution?

The Arolsen Archives links (a few replies back) are the ones I was referring to. Were you able to see them?

The German town of Bad Arolsen is home to the world’s largest archive on the victims and survivors of the Nazi regime. Perhaps others are included - I don't know for sure.

As far as I can see, Bulgaria went from being a neutral country during WWII to an ally of Nazi Germany.

I have just been told that the father of Vlado Janev is George and the mother is called Kato, but no further details.. brothers were Kiril and Yane not sure of spelling. Oral history which could be wrong?
