Lewis Lewis baptism in Llanychaearn
« on: Monday 29 January 24 05:25 GMT (UK) »
Hello!

Hoping someone can help me decipher the word at the end of the line from a baptism record, from 1811 in the Llanychaearn register, as attached. I hope it's an ok section of the record.

I can read "Lewis, son of David and Mary Lewis, <B??>" What is that word and is it a place?

Thank you

Thanks Kay!

Is that a place? I could find a Bryncrwn Cottage in Aberystwyth online, I wonder if that's the general area (or even actual dwelling) the record refers to...

I looked at Welsh Newspapers online and found a William Griffiths listed as living at Bryncwyn in 1888 and in 1891 and 1891 there is a William Griffiths b 1833 Cardiganshire living at Bryncwyn, Llanychaiarn.  He is a farmer
