Place not found
« on: Wednesday 21 February 24 13:18 GMT (UK) »

Hi all.
Just joined RootsChat and this is my first topic/query.

I have completed a family history going back to 1691. One of my ancestors had a wife who was born at (illegible word) + Mouse Cran. The geographical area was Yorkshire (West Riding), more specifically Bingley to Colne (Lancs) to Barnoldswick, date 1830s plus/minus. I have tried old maps of the area but without success. Can anybody help please?

Thanks Bookbox! That looks like Mouse Hill (Bentley, Beverley) which is in Yorkshire. Will have a think about the last word...
