Hi,

My GGG Grandfather was a soldier in the 1st Order Royal Dragoons, which is stated on his son's birth certificate in 1840, was hoping someone may be able to give me some information about the Dragoons and where he may have served ect. Thanks heaps.

The National Archives hold service records, pension info, etc.
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Thankyou for the web site, it is really great, will look into the National Archives for his service records and you also answered a question I just posted about tracking down his pension records, your help has been greatly appreciated.
