Bradshaw or Hatton?!
« on: Saturday 30 March 24 16:27 GMT (UK) »
I appear to have majorly confused myself - which isn't difficult.

So I am looking for the wife of William Bott - 1911 - abt 1983 born in Packington, Leicestershire, probably died there too.
I believe he is the father of Joseph Ayre Bott - 1859 - 1946 born and died in Packington - Joseph is my great, great grandfather.

I have found Sarah Hatton and Sarah Bradshaw, both born abt 1816, however, I started my Ancestry tree some time ago and back then I was just adding people from other's trees (I have learned not to) and its gotten so messy with this group here.
There is a record for a William Bott in Ashby de la Zouch marrying Bradshaw in 1838 and the same name marrying Hatton in 1840 - is anyone able to clarify if anything I have here is correct?

Thank you for all of this - it does seem to be Bradshaw then doesn't it. I can't get my head around the Sarah Hatton marriage 2 years later then - Hatton who had a son with a William Bott and called the son Hatton Bott - I wonder if there were just two William Botts in the same place at the same time, marrying two Sarahs?
