Hello
I would really appreciate opinions on what Abigail's maiden name might be please.
Abigail Inncey/Inndey/??? - wife of Nicholas Bateman, who was living in Sheffield, Yorkshire in the 1810-1820's.
Thank you!
Annie.

There's an 1814 marriage in Rotherham for a Nicholas Bateman to Tabitha Inocent.

I have previously seen this record and wondered if this could be the couple - thank you. Certainly the dates fit, and I can imagine 'Inocent' being transcribed as something similar to that on the baptism records. The Tabitha/Abigail has always thrown me though.
At this stage this couple remain a bit of a mystery!
