There's an 1814 marriage in Rotherham for a Nicholas Bateman to Tabitha Inocent.  ???

Thanks all for your comments and welcome.

I have previously seen this record and wondered if this could be the couple - thank you.  Certainly the dates fit, and I can imagine 'Inocent' being transcribed as something similar to that on the baptism records.  The Tabitha/Abigail has always thrown me though.

At this stage this couple remain a bit of a mystery!
