Help in breaking brick

Hi All I was given lots of help a few months ago on starting my father's side of his tree I have progessed a lot since then. Bit I an stuck on a child born 1897.im guessing the date based on the 1901 census she was 5 her name maggie lodge on the 1901 census she was 5 along withe her sister lizzie and brother Thomas. Her mum is down as kate lodge but is catherine mcneill and hubby Thomas lodge. I cannot locate maggies birth certificate nothing about her only 1901 census. Her mum died in 1906 so she could have gone any where but I have tried Ireland endland for birth cert bit nothing .could anyone advise where to go next.sorry for.long post

Maggie Lodge on the 1901 census was born about 1895 / 1896 in Port Glasgow.
As she was born before the marriage in 1898, she could be the child of either parent, born before the marriage. As such she may not appear with the surname "Lodge" on her birth documents.

Margaret went on to marry under her reputed surname of Cameron. She was obviously aware of who he was.

She married a Jeremiah Scullion at St John's RC Church in Port Glasgow in 1920.  Thomas Lodge (stepfather?) was a witness to the marriage. See clip below:

The Scullion family left Scotland for the US (trying to find the shipping manifest entry for them).

I have catherine mcneil dying in 1906 she was married to Thomas lodge
