john crouch b 1813
« on: Thursday 30 May 24 09:12 BST (UK) »
Hi,i cannot find john Crouch,i got his date of birth from his marriage certificate where it states his age as 40 and his bride Selina Young as 24,the marriage took place in tonbridge Kent 1853,the certificate doesn't name the church only as parish church.

That's part one of my problem,i cannot find them in the census apart from Selina before the marriage,on the marriage certificate it gives their residence as Tunbridge wells.

They had 5 children,Edwin 1857 and Alfred 1857 were baptised in Seal Kent,John and Mary Ann twins in Kemsing Kent and William1861 in Stone near Dartford but i cannot find any of them on the census maybe they were strays,i did try workhouse records but no luck there either,if anyone can help i would be most grateful.
