I have the record of Thomas Davies, born 29 November 1929 -

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X1T9-RVB

but he does not appear on the 1841 census - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X1T9-RVB - which leads me to assume he died. I'll try and find a death notice for him.

To recap - you appear to be chasing a Thomas David (post 1 - have you the correct surname?) who you believe to be the child of a Thomas and Jemima Davies.
Unfortunately (at least as far as researching is concerned) as it turns out, there are 2 x a Thomas Davies born to a Thomas and Jemima Davies within 4 months of each other (Nov 1829 and Mar 1830) and in the same locale.

So, backtracking, who exactly have you found that you want to pinpoint as baptized around 1829/30 in that area?

Red faced I can only apologise that in my initial post I made a typo, which I've only just realised - "Thomas David, was baptist on  29 November 1829 at Yspytty Cynfyn, Cardiganshire", should have read - Thomas DAVIES etc etc. Thomas Davies Junior (dob 1829) is not named on the 1841 Census though Thomas Davies Senior and spouse Jemima, together with children John (age 9), Mary (age 6), Isaac (age 4), and David (age 1), are there - which makes me suspect Thomas Davies Junior (would have been age 12) has died. I'm sorry for all the confusion.

No apologies needed. I don't care to think of the confusion I've caused through typos etc. on this site - it goes with the territory.

Croeso.

On the '41 Census there's a Thomas Davies, age 12, Parish of Llanbadarnfawr, born Cardiganshire, occpation mariner. The address is "On Board of Vessels in Harbour".

With such a common name slim chance of linking this youngster to a family.
