This CWT married in 1901 and was a Trooper. Canít read the regiment

Could he have been married previously?
Added..I know he said he was a Bachelor in 1904 but I think that can sometimes be taken with a pinch of salt.


Can see her death in 1932.  Still married. Husband now called William Charles Pollidore Turner

Going through sporting newspapers, I found a Charles Turner listed in an article on men that had their Jockey License.

Here's a CW Turner being granted a jockeys' license in April 1901. Given that this snippet is from a NZ newspaper could your fellow be a Kiwi? That could explain why you're unable to locate him in a UK census.
