Hi, I'm new here and I have been trying to find more information about my grandads (who is 95) sister in law.
Her name at birth was Margaret Glover, she was born in Hampshire in 1923 ish, to an Alexander Glover (father)  moved up to St. Helens (Lancashire at the time, now Merseyside) married my grandads brother Percy Vernon Edwin Rothery in 1941, he died age 21 as a rear gunner.
Margaret then married William Arthur Plumb in 1944. then next we know she went to Port Said in Egypt with the NAAFI and I think she got married again to a Norman B Brown between 1945-1950. but I can not find anymore info at all after that.

On the 1939 she's living with granny Margaret Glover (30.6.1854)and uncle John (20.4.1888) in St Helens. There was an Alex Hampson Glover  born 1895 who is probably her father, and John's brother .Grandfather was Henry Glover.They are in Water St  in 1911 and onwards.

There's a May 1947 Passenger record for a Norman Brown (born 1923).
Departing Southampton for Port Said, Egypt.

Occupation: Pal. Police. Intended residence: Palestine.

The manifest records list a (previous) Belfast address for him.

If this is Margaret's 3rd husband, could they have returned to Belfast when their Middle East careers were over?

Yes that's where I got her father's name from... my grandad seems to remember her mum being called Rose.
Margaret went by the name Peggy, but I'm assuming on official paper work she would of written Margaret.
