Land Joseph and Henry mined for gold near Clermont , Nuggetty  Gully, Peak Downs, Diamond Hutt etc
Joseph wrote a Diary each time he headed out to the Mines and itvwas published by the Peak Telegram / Clermont Telegram..
I would love to know who to contact re obtaing copies of the Diary entries.
I do know one brother   found a gold nugget 80ozs at Nuggety Gully late 1880s

The Peak Down Telegram was published by the QLD State library. It is on microfilm, and I don’t think it is available online.

Really interesting and looks like the gold has definitely increased in Size_
