Thomas Byrne
« on: Wednesday 19 June 24 10:37 BST (UK) »
Hello,
My GG Grandfathers name was Thomas Byrne. I don't know much about him. I do not have a birthday, birthplace or date of death. I do though have his marriage certificate with my GG grandmother Jane Byrne, she was born in 1885 in Hacketstown, Carlow. The two got married in August of 1902 in Hacketstown, Carlow. They went on to have 4 children as of the 1911 census. Thomas's father was listed as William Byrne. I am having trouble finding any information abouthim and his parents due to the sheer amount of Byrne's in the area. I would appreciate all the help I can get finding out more about him.

Seems like you acquired the marriage certificate for Thomas. What are the occupations given for Thomas and his father?
Where was Thomas in 1911 and his age and where does it say he was born?

Both Thomas and his father were Labourers. Thomas and his wife lived on Mill Lane, Hacketstown. Thomas was 31 so he would have been born around 1880. It lists his place of birth as county Carlow

It helps if you post links to information you've already found to save others from duplicating the same searches. For reference-
