I am helping someone trying to trace his Polish ancestors.  The majority of the family were shipped off to Siberia when Poland was split between Russia and Germany and were quite fragmented after that.  Some of them did return but their original home was by then in Ukraine and they were put in Poland, although we aren't really sure where.
We have found a photo from 1951 of his grandmother.  She was definitely sent to Siberia and then returned after the war ended, most of her children went to the UK with the various Polish forces and finally settled here.  This is a note on the back of the photo.  Her name was Maria and I think I can see that there?  There is also a date, 1951.  The only word I think I can recognise is "love". Can anyone say if a location is given please?

I think the note reads like this.

Boczki dnie 6 IX 51 r(ok)
na pamiątkę kochanym
dzieciom
Mame

translation
Bockzi, 6th day of September year 1951
As a souvenir for my beloved children.
Mam

Bockzi is somewhere in Poland. I'll let you figure out which one.
