On both children’s births mmn is Murphy.  In 1871 Sarah is 32 which is more realistic given the ages of the 2 children.  Presumably knocked some years off in 1881 as Charles is 9yrs younger😀

You probably already know that the 2 younger children were elsewhere in 1881

William Charles 1870 - Industrial School & Robert 1867 at sea

Husband Thomas George died 1877 aged 41

As far as I know Sarah George didn't remarry, on the 1901 she's down as Sarah George, the age doesn't Tally with Sarah she was born 1838, wonder who this Charles & Sarah Addison were? It's down as isabella & John as their son & daughter, it would make Sarah Addison bring 15 when she had John T🤔

They also had a son Amos born 1859 (Sarah & Thomas), on the 1891 (Tyne mouth) & 1901  (West Hartlepool) census she's down as Sarah George, as far as I know Thomas & Sarah had 5 children, just seems strange can't find a marriage for Sarah if she married again, hope this makes sense.

Perhaps they never married - not unusual to see an unmarried couple shown as married on a census

 Thank you.
I'm thinking maybe when the transcribed the census could this be a different family next door maybe, I think I'd need to see the actual census to see if it is.

I have viewed the actual image & they are one family - Head/wife/son/daughter.  No connection to anybody next door.

When Thomas died Sarah probably took up with Charles Addison but never married him.
