The Scottish 1911 is pay per view.

The free index shows a 45yr old Patrick Burns with a Bridget in same household living in Renfrew.  Have you discounted that entry?

Daughter was also Bridget aged 6 in 1901

Yes, I found the rest of the family on 1911 Scotland census but he's missing. He was 38 on 1901 census with wife Bridget age 37. He's about 48 in 1911. His wife is recorded as 46 on 1911 census.  Wondering if he was working away or visiting family in Dublin / Athy, Kildare
or Glasgow. Puzzling ???

Thank you. I've looked now & in Dublin there were several entries under Patrick Byrne but not Burns. However, it was originally Byrne before he went to Scotland. One entry is of the right age & he was staying in a huge hostel that housed over 500 people. It was cheap accom. while you worked so it could very well be him. He did have a wife & 6 kids to support.

Also. I did find an entry, please see attached, for a Patrick Burns born 1861 for Dreadnought Seamen's hospital entry. I can't access the details. I'm wondering if this is my Patrick or another as it is a popular name. He was a hammerman so would he be at sea with this job?
