Thank you everyone, yes this is the person I have been trying to get information on. I do appreciate what you have found so far. I know (it appears) that he accidentally shot himself while out on the farm with a loaded gun on a wagon. I will look into your website links more. Once again thank you for your warm welcome.

Thank you very much Neale1961 with all that research. I do appreciate it and you got the information so quickly! Absolutely amazing. I do have a doozy one though for you. He is my other Grandfather Walter Henry Smith. Unfortunately his second wife threw out all the family information, photos etc.. which is a great shame. So we have no information at all about him apart from his death recorded at Rye Cemetery, Victoria Australia, 3940. I only met him a few times when I was very young but that was about it. His second wife was Amy Smith 22/9/1913 to 17/4/2010. I do not know his first wife’s name at all. I know Walter has a Scottish background and his wife has a Swedish background. That is all I have been told. Thank you
