65540 (No? in King's South African Rifles & Kenya Defence Force, prev 776038 in RAFVR); b [Fiji?] 1 Feb 13; to NZ by 1926; Wanganui Collegiate; to UK late 1930/e.1931; Oxford University/Brasenose Coll; to Uganda 1936; officer - the Administration, Uganda. King's South African Rifles 1940; Kenya Auxiliary Air Unit 1940; RAFVR in Middle East [Kenya?] c.mid-40, [postings wanting], to UK e.41, Pilots Badge & Comm 24 Apr 41, 23OTU (Wellington), inj in crash on approach 13 Aug 41, 7 Sqn (Stirling - 28 ops) Sep 41, kia 20 May 42 St-Trond Belgium. Heverlee War Cemetery - 3.A. coll. grave 13-16, Louvain, Brabant, Belgium. Son of Sir Henry Guy Pilling, KCMG, & Lady Gladys Neville Pilling (née Garrick), Ngong, Nairobi, Kenya.
