Thank you again.   :)  That is very helpful.

I haven’t been able to add images even after others have kindly explained how (at some point I will purchase a new device for this and other more important reasons).

Comparing the letters with neighbouring words, could the last part be hill?  An entry, two lines above, looks like Hillman.  Also, the h’s on this image and a neighbouring image looks similar to the (possible) fourth letter from the end of the word for William Cooper’s entry.  So, possibly B_____hill?

I believe William married in Shipley, Sussex (I need to double-check my family tree).  I don’t believe I’ve ever found proof of his birth.  [Years ago, I did post topics about the Coopers and Parkers but I don’t believe I’ve researched them lately.  Certainly not for this problem.]

None of the sites I looked at that have transcribed this burial have attempted this word - freereg, familysearch.
I looked at several pages of baptisms that start just in 1810 (a few pages on after this burial on the film), in the hope that a similar word would appear, but didn't spot anything. You could have a longer look when you have time.

It starts with a B obviously. The ending looks like 'hill'.

On Freereg, you can scroll down through the Sussex parishes.
There is one called Burgess Hill. It's about 13 miles from Shipley.
This may be a possibility for this word after William's name, written 'Burge hill'.

The page before William's burial has the entry below.
It shows how this scribe forms a 'g', and how an 'r' can become just a mark.

Added: I see you posted whilst I was writing this Lisa! Posted anyway

Looking at images after William’s, a couple have words in parenthesis but one was an occupation and the other was Pauper.

I see what you mean about g and r, and b and r.  Thank you for pointing it out.

goldie61, thank you for taking the time to look through sites and images.  I will look for Coopers in Burgess Hill.  Thank you for everything, Lisa
